Administration
The Head's office, organised
Structure, roles, learner records, staffing, the calendar, KEMIS returns and a dashboard of the whole school.
See it for your school
Your school, the way it's really run
- Start from a narrow, medium or broad structure: Head, Deputies, Director of Studies, Heads of Department and of Stream, class and subject teachers, Bursar, Board.
- Every responsibility belongs to a role, so a duty never falls between two people. An empty role falls back to the Head until it's filled.
- Grades, streams, subjects, departments and who teaches what, with history kept when allocations change.
Learner records you can trust
- Admissions, placement in streams, transfers and leaving, each written to the learner's history.
- UPI, birth certificate and assessment numbers checked before a KEMIS export, so returns go in clean.
- Medical and special-needs details kept apart and seen only by those who need them; every look is recorded.
Oversight without chasing people
- A dashboard of enrolment, staffing gaps, attendance and results this term.
- Insights that flag what needs attention: learners missing records, classes without teachers, timetables awaiting approval.
- A full audit log: who changed what, when, and in which role.

Questions about administration
Does LastWaveEdu prepare KEMIS returns?
Yes. Administration checks learner records for missing UPIs, birth certificates and other required fields, prepares the return for sign-off by the Head, and keeps a record of what was submitted.
Can a small school with few staff use it?
Yes. Choose the narrow structure: the Head holds every responsibility, with class teachers for each class, and you add roles as the school grows.
